My Sincerest Apology

Who has not blogged since March 2nd of 2011? ME! Who has not been keeping my readers updated? ME!
My sincerest apology for not blogging a lot. Over the summer my family was up north visiting my grandparents. On August 17th was Eli's 8th birthday, but my dad was in the hospital that morning for kidney stones. Then in September my dad was admitted to the hospital for diverticulitis. And then in October my mom had lots of doctors appointments to find out what was causing her back pain. Now guess what tomorrow December 1st my parents, two brothers and I are leaving for Florida to go to Legoland and Walt Disney World. On Dec. 12th my dad is having surgery and will be in recovery for 2 wks. On the 27th is my 13th birthday. Yay!!!!!!!!!!
So that is what has been happening in the Stem Family for the past few months. In 2 wks I will be posting pictures from our Legoland and Disney World trip.

I'm so sorry that I'm not updating as much as would like too.
I've been doing a lot with friends lately such as, Tuesday Adventures, six78, science class, going sewing with my BFF, CBS bible study, and homeschool middle school socials.
I just finished memorizing Exodus 20. I've started getting ideas in for my homeschool history expo project on Daily Life in the Dark Ages. Last night I went to see a piano recital at ECU, which was wonderful. I've also started play practice for Jack and the Giant the musical, I'm a villager and I'm in the castle chorus. This weekend I'm going to my best friend's 11th birthday party, we're going bowling. My dad is going to DC for a mission trip, and my brothers start soccer practice.
A few weeks ago we threw a get together (she didn't want a party) for my mom's 40th birthday, we had a blast!!!!

I have decided that I'm going to start doing the word of the year thing.
My word of this year 2011 is ORGANIZE, that means I'm going
to start not only having my stuff organized but also my life.

Merry Christmas

I hope everyone had a very merry christmas!
I know I did!

On the 23rd we got back from our Christmas trip up in Illinois and Indiana.
We got lots of presents!

On christmas eve we got up early in the morning to go serve breakfast
at the homeless shelter. Even though I wasn't happy to get up at
5:30 it was still worth it,but then we came back home and went to bed again


Yesterday we all woke up around 9:30.
We then finished our Advent book we have been going through, it was so good.
Then we opened gifts from our siblings,and then my 3 gifts from my
Parents which stand for the gifts that Jesus received when he was born
( go my moms blog for more.)

The best gift I got was from my mom and dad and that was an
iPod touch,I was so shocked!

And today we woke to snow!!!!!

Uganda

Uganda has been on my mind a lot today. I've been thinking about al the hunger, and the poverty there.
It is right under Sudan on the east side of Africa.
These are the questions that go through my head:
How can I make a difference?
Why does there have to be poverty in the world?
Why do people have to starve because they don't have food?
Why can't people just like you and me have clean water to survive?

These questions go through my head all the time.
